Kudos go to our lovely couple from all the way out east of Canada for a very different approach to their wedding. Trisha + Colin flew back to Edmonton from the Maritimes to celebrate their wedding day with friends and family at the Delta Hotel.
The day was a warm, beautiful sunlit day. Good thing the AC started working in the Limo after a bit of fiddling with it. ;)
Trisha started her day bright and early at Chrome Salon for not just her hair and makeup but also the dress! Although we'd been at Chrome many times before, this was our first time doing the dress in the salon. What an interesting experience!
Afterwards the ceremony was held at St. Andrews church where a familiar priest (Jackie + Ryan's officiant) officiated the ceremony. Then it was off for pictures. Incorporating their love for baseball into their day the couple left the church under the cover of baseball bats! Then afterwards we headed out to a baseball field where the party had a short but fun game of baseball.
We had a brief lunch with the bridal party at Kyoto which made for some interesting shots, including the rings on sushi rolls, then it was out for more pictures. In total, Trisha + Colin gave us a whopping 5 hours for formals! Our concluding location with the couple was a sentimental shoot in the aisles of a local famed grocery market.
At the reception, the speeches were filled with laughter and emotion. We've shot before in the Delta and it's always a beautiful venue with the most spectacular view of the city as the sun sets.
Trisha + Colin, thank-you for allowing us to be part of your day and a special shout-out goes to Eileen, Trisha's mom, for being such an excellent liaison through the planning. We are so blessed to call you friends.
Cheers :)
Kenneth + Elaine
