We are so pleased and excited to announce our first ever Florida wedding. Marjorie + Juan flew us down for their wedding in Orlando, Florida, and while there, we soaked in as much sunshine as possible. This was our first time ever in Florida and we had such a great time with these two. Not to mention, Orlando is home to Disney World and Sea World which we'll post about in a latter post.
The festivities began early for these two, with Marjorie and the girls getting ready early in the morning on the wedding day at her parents' house, and Juan getting ready at their own place. Afterwards we headed out promptly to the ceremony held at St. Jude Catholic Parish where the two tied the knot. The sun was falling fast when we got to the formals, but we came away with some of our most favorite images to date!
At the reception, speeches were made, yes... but what really stood out to us was the unbelievable dance moves these guys had on the dance floor. (Man those guys can dance!) With a live Latin band belting out the grooves, and then switching places with a maxin' DJ for a break who busted out more reggae and dance, the night was on fire.
A special thanks to y'all for calling us family and taking such great care of us. We hope you enjoy the images!
The guys got ready at Juan and Marjorie's place.
Then afterwards headed out for some pictures around their place.
While moving around, we discovered a Florida orange grove (orchard) which we have never seen in our lives and couldn't help but use it for some pictures.
Marjorie and her girls prepped at her parents' beautiful home. The image on the bottom right was taken through the glass leading to the swimming pool.
Exquisite details were laid out for display.
More of the girls getting ready and some of the moments in the morning.
These fun and quirky little moments and details were popping up all over the place.
At the bottom left you can see Marjorie and her brother while she oogles the flowers which just arrived.
Then it was time for the dress to go on.
And then the veil and the shoes. :)
We had just enough time to go out for some quick portraits with the girls.
At the ceremony, Juan was penned up in a waiting room, and as you can see, he was bursting with anxiety. :)
Here they share their first kiss as husband and wife.
Then on the steps of the church we couldn't head to the reception without letting their crew have some fun. :)
Beautiful Florida sunlight began the formals. Remembering the weather in Florida makes us so wish we lived there. But of course we love you Edmonton!
The grounds of the Omni Hotel were so grand, with palm trees lining the road so perfectly, and a golf course as the surrounding property.
Marjorie's cathedral veil was one of a kind. We are so blessed to have been able to work with this!
We absolutely love the way these two are so into each other.
More sunset images of these two. :)
Then at the reception, the father-daughter dance and first dance started off the celebrations!
Here are some moments during the reception, from the father of the bride speech, to Marjorie on the bottom right, looking famished. ;)
And here we have the cake cutting which happened while people were dancing it up to the music of the live latin band.
 More of the festivities. :)

Marjorie + Juan tantalize their attendees during the bouquet toss and the garter toss.
After the reception, we did more shots with Marjorie before she trashed her dress.
Then outside we headed for our Trashion session with the couple (something that Marjorie adamantly wanted when she booked us). There was just one problem! The water was way way too cold in the fountain.
But we thank God for the kindness of a security guard who came around (initially kicking us out of the fountain), but then kindly opening up the gate to the swimming area and letting us use the... hot tub!

And with this final shot of our awesome couple + us at JMP, the couple flew off to Cancun Mexico.
Marjorie + Juan, we hope you enjoyed your trip to Cancun, and wanted to thank-you for choosing us as your wedding photographers. It is such a blessing to know that we have made some new friends for life in Orlando.
Cheers :)
Kenneth + Elaine
ps: Stay tuned for pictures from our get-away to Disney world and Sea world.
