When Deidre + Michael booked us they expressly stated they wanted to trash the dress. Imagine our excitement! The Trashion session started off relatively moderate, as we usually do. But ended extreme with our couple going waist deep into glacier cold lake waters.
Afterwards Deidre + Michael dared us to go in to see how cold it was. So off our socks and shoes came, and we took our first steps into the water. "Refreshingly cold" was our first reaction. Followed shortly afterwards by "a thousand needles penetrating to the bone".
Wow! Major Props to you guys Deidre + Michael for being the troopers you are. There was no complaints from you guys at all, and we're surprised you made it as far as you did with the water as cold as it was!
For those who aren't aware, JMP Trashion Sessions are:
Dress Trashion Sessions are fashion photo sessions for the bride, done in a location that a bride would normally never go for her wedding day photos. Be it water, dirt piles, or mud, the sky's the limit for these sessions - being unhindered by the time restrictions of a wedding day, or by the necessity to keep ones attire clean. In fact, the whole goal of these sessions is to create a body of work that would set you apart as a bride who doesn't feel the need to keep her dress in pristine condition any longer.
What's the motivation for trashing a dress? Most people won't wear their dresses anymore, your daughter most probably won't wear your dress, so the question is what else is there to do with it, but use it and take some fabulous images while you're at it? Wouldn't it be great to wear that dress one more time?
So if you or anyone you know is tired of having their dress stuffed in a box, and want to make use of that dress to make some jaw-dropping images, we'd love to setup a dress trash bash with you. And if you've already trashed your dress with us once, pull it out and we'll do it all over again!

Cheers :)
